 The seminar is addressed to those who want to know more about themselves and others in order to understand the limitations and programming of the psyche and discover ways to release them, so as to improve the quality of their life and their relationships. It is also aimed at those who are interested in the inner world of children, education and at those who work in the field of therapy in various disciplines.

It is widely accepted in our days that our character is formed upon our childhood experiences. We come to the world full of light and blessings of existence, full of purity, innocence, endless joy, kindness, trust, love. At the same time, as newborns we are ultimately dependent on our parental figures. Needs such as nourishment (nutritional and emotional), support and guidance are absolutely crucial for our survival and more time-consuming than in any other species of the animal kingdom. The manner in which parents and the general social environment managed this dependency and wisdom of the child is therefore very important.

In adulthood, often we function and see the world through the eyes of an uncomfortable and hurt child with unmet needs and emotional and physical barriers that prevent us from living our lives in joy and abundance.

During inner child channeling, through simple techniques and exercises we revisit the inner child, and by experiencing past events and giving space to all the senses and the unexpressed emotions that arise, we experience what is called the “corrective experience”. Through this process it is possible to understand the connections between those past experiences and the tendencies and habits that we have acquired over time, characterizing today's adult personality and choices.

We re-learn, as adults, to manage life, seeing ourselves from a mature perspective with compassion, understanding and love. Thus we can become loving and protective parents of our own inner child.

The process of channeling the inner child is profound therapeutic work, necessary to truly and deeply understand our own inner world and that of our fellow human beings. It's a process that can bring awareness to our often stressed nature, giving us answers regarding internal tensions and dilemmas; it calms and strengthens us by recognizing our true self, our true nature, and directing love to this newly discovered aspect of our self.

Methodology

The course includes experiential work with physical exercises, movement in the space, meditation, theoretical explanation on themes relating to developmental stages of the child, processing and sharing.

Instructors

Kostis Alexander : After studying instrument making and music technology he focused on learning and practicing the art of massage since 2009. He has trained in various kinds of physical therapies (Thai Massage, Acupuncture, Craniosacral therapy and more) in Greece and abroad to enrich his understanding and practice of the body and the need for well-being. In the same period he trained with Vedanta Aspioti at the Power of Light Institute in counseling and primal therapy with the Diamond Logos Teachings as a main tool, a psycho-spiritual method for displaying the true potential of Being. 

Nikolaos Athanassakis: He took his first steps into the realm of the soul studying Educational Psychology at Azusa Pacific University in California, USA, where he was born and raised. He has worked as counselor at the Devereux Foundation, an institution for children with disabilities and as a school counselor at a junior high also in California. After moving to Athens, he decided to shift his orientation toward individual psychotherapy, focusing on depth psychology. He is a student of Vedanta Aspioti at the Power of Light Institute, and works with inner child therapy on an individual and group level.

Timetable: 03/01: 10:00-18:00, 04-08/01: 08:00-18:00 (with two breaks)
